Had Monal on my list of restaurants to try for ages, so annoyed it took me that long to finally try it! Everything about the whole dining experience was absolutely incredible. The restaurant itself is decked out super nice, warm, inviting and vibey. Staff there are super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable on all the food and drinks. Me and my partner got the banquet menu and every single course was out of this world - and for the money I thought was amazing value. I know for a fact it is going to be a place that I come back to again and again!

I honestly can't remember the last time we experienced this level of consistency at a restaurant in Brisbane. Every single dish we ordered was exceptional. Usually at least one dish misses the mark, but not here at Monal. We ordered: - Hokkaido Scallop, Apple, Green Chilli, Cod's Roe - Bluefin Tuna Tartare, Fried Potato, Bottarga - Wagyu Intercostal Skewer, Smoked Labneh, Fig Leaf Oil - Bone in Angus Rib-eye 500gm, Bone Marrow, Red Wine Jus - Grilled Cabbage, Dan Dan Sauce , Furikake - Mash Potato, Crispy Skins, House Seasoning ...And they were all perfect! Veronica and her team were fantastic - friendly, attentive, and made our date night a really great experience. The restaurant was full house, but wasn't noisy, which created a great ambiance. Just a short walk from Gasworks, so if you don't manage to find parking in the streets nearby Monal, you know what to do. My wife's verdict: 10/10. Highly recommend. (Happy wife, happy life.)

Flawless dinner! From the food and wine to the service, everything was spot on. The menu celebrates modern Australian flavours with global influences — think Nepalese touches and creative spins inspired by Europe and Asia. Standouts for me were the calamari special with chilli butter and pancetta, the sous vide lemon molasses chicken with curry sauce, and the best chocolate mousse I’ve ever had. Already planning my next visit.
